Players can get in touch with their virtual alter egos in this platform-specific port of the popular PC sequel. Like its home computer forebear, the DS version of Sims 2 features 3D graphics and an empowering character creation system. Like earlier console and handheld interpretations of the franchise, this rendition plays more like an RPG-style adventure than a "sandbox-style" life sim, as players have clear goals which are reached by accomplishing specific tasks. Set in the extraterrestrial-friendly Strangetown, the game challenges the player's character to take charge of an abandoned hotel and help revive the area's once-bustling tourist trade.
