    Superb and amusing story about English Gentleman's life at his newly aquired country estate.

    This book started me off on reading everything that Beverly Nichols has ever written. He transports the reader to another time/place/era where the nosy and quirky neighbor stories are humorous and the passion for the garden had me looking up all the plants he talks about. And the cats! Something for everyone here. I don't usually laugh out loud while reading, but the wit of the author hits me just right and I come back to his books and trilogies for my favorite relax time reading. This is a good book to start with!
