For its eighth consecutive appearance on PlayStation 2, the NCAA Football series introduces a new playcalling system designed to appeal to those new to football video games. This "Family Play" feature strips down the playbooks and control schemes to make the on-field action more accessible to an audience that may have shied away from sports titles in the past. A revamped graphics engine allows players to freely break in or out of moves instead of having to wait until each spin, juke, or stiff-arm finishes its animation cycle. <br><br>Also new is a Mascot Challenge mode that tests your ability to pass, rush, catch, and play defense in a series of increasingly challenging drills. To help you prepare for a big match against the computer or a friend, you can practice up to ten offensive plays, and even see how you respond to high-pressure situations by turning on the crowd noise feature. NCAA Football 09 also includes popular modes introduced in previous versions, such as Dynasty and Campus Challenge, allowing you to guide your favorite school over the course of multiple seasons.

    Great game, better than the new gen Maddens in my opinion

    Great game, love the impact players, dynasty mode, and campus legend. Also love that you are able to import your Campus Legend to other modes as a coach and to get drafted into the NFL. Fluid and natural player movement in a way that is better than new gen Maddens
