overpriced @ $10 to $15; should be seen by millions more
decent film with Jackie Gleason playing a good natured highly moral mute who is misidentified as a brutish slob but is a genuine mensch and sympathetic. Sellers should lower the price so that with the nearly zilch publicity this receives, that more people might think to buy the dvd and see it. Frustrating because Gleason deliberately plays against Type. He is not the loud guy from the Honeymooners but is a genuine Mute who cannot speak. Worth seeing for everyone once. Recommended to me to see by an older Catholic friend who saw it on the big screen over 55 years ago; sure enough a touching serious scene where the child of the prostitute Gleason tries to help, as an albeit Mute, he takes to the Catholic church twice, to be blessed with Holy Water etc., when nobody is present save for the priest. Lovely scene, unpretentious and down to earth.

Great hearted Gigot
I saw movie when i was a young kid. Looked several times over the years to see it again. 50 years later i own it and watched it. Still a great inspiring movie to watch. Only when your dead do they pretend to care. Great movie.

Great Movie!
Very good movie. Jackie Gleason doesn't speak but his face expressions say it all for what he goes through as a mute. He's so poor but yet has such a kind heart to help out others....and feed the town cats! A must see movie.

Great Jackie Gleason Movie!
This is so different than any other movie I've ever seen Jacki Gleason perform in! He wrote the original story. A fee-good movie with some implied tragedy thrown in.The DVD is good quality and plays perfectly..

Gigot
Not everyone will like this movie, but I really did. I saw it years ago, and decided to try to find it again. I did, but I think it's overpriced. Anyhow, it's not an action movie, but sort of a love story and a timeless observation of how people treat each other. I always liked Jackie Gleason, and he demonstrated outstanding talent in this movie.

Gigot is beautifully fimed with a wonderful performance by Jackie Gleason.
Quality product. We have searched for this film for many years and are so pleased that we found it and the quality of the product is outstanding.

Heart warming movie
I saw this move 20 years ago. It touched my heart. I was so happy I was able to find it. Now I can share it with my adult children.
