Honest review
Although the fan looks cheap it will actually slow down your fan. it works with 6 inch fans and it all comes down to the size of the motor hence it says 300w. I've used it to slow down a 6 inch standard fan, the problem is the fan cuts of when the knobs turn down by 1/4 turn but in that 1/4 turn it's aper sensitive so with a delicate touch you can alter the speed by a fair bit. If the fan was more powerful it would have a higher range. So a standard 6 inch fan will not start until the knob gets to about 3/4 way to full power bit that last quarter can be adjusted. best quality make of this type of unit.

Excellent product!
I'm extremely pleased with this product, it's good quality and the price was fantastic. I needed to dim 5 x 60w bulbs and with this being compatible with up to 300w it's ideal. I've been able to turn the brightness right down to a lovely ambient glow which is exactly what I was aiming for. Excellent product
I bought the dimmer plug to reduce the light emitting from my standing corner uplighter it works better than I expected. The product is made to the highest quality because it just feels right and the dimmer switch is responsive and does what it says on the tin, as they say. Brilliant
I Bought some expensive lights a while ago but even the lowest bulbs were far to bright and very expensive. Finding this plug was brilliant, it's great value for money and easy to use. It dims an LED dimmable light
