A ravishing treatment of Bleak House.
This BBC adaptation of Bleak House is superb and is very faithful to Charles Dickens great work . I usually say, "don't bother to watch the movie, read the book." But in this case, anyone who has read the book, should see this adaptation in order to grasp the full flavour of the England Dickens wrote about, and to gain a greater appreciation of the characters that are so superbly portrayed in this production.

Not sure what Review Title means exactly. From your example, "Lightweight with great features" - what has that got to do with the title?
Is there a better writer than Charles Dickens? His stories are very intricate and involve many characters, mainly "good" and "bad" and somehow they are all iintertwined. Britain has a brilliant array of excellent character actors and each Dickens character, even the smallest part, is portrayed wonderfully. Watching the DVD was an absolute joy.

I've read the book and I can't say enough about how great this adaptation is. The casting is so spot on and the acting is exceptional. Anybody who spends a lot of time watching BBC adaptations will recognize many of the actors. Special props to Phil Davis as Smallweed - that man is one of my very favorite character actors, EVER. Everyone does a superb job. Well worth the money and great for binge-watching - don't be afraid of the 9 hour run time. I laugh, I cry, it never gets old.

Bleak House is a solid weaving story of intrigue & varied characters
Bleak House is a slow moving, character building mini series. Give it time to build the complex story and it just keeps getting more intriguing. I love several of the actors that star in it.

So So
I thought the first few episodes were boring then it got better ergo was more into it. A good bit of the plot was very predictable but the acting was good for the most part. Rather scatty review but parts were good, parts bad, some boring, some engaging so review is mixed.
