Built Solid, Nozzle is Suspect
Here's my issue first. When I first got it and put the CO2 cartridge in along with the beer, it worked great. Once finished, I cleaned out the Growler per instructions. The next day I put in a new batch of beer to carry on a two hour drive, instead of letting the bottles get warm in the car ride. The beer was still cold, but the spicket didn't work. I thought perhaps it was the cartridge, so I replaced it. It wasn't the cartridge. I'm not sure why it wasn't working and I got very upset. I took the Growler to the sink after emptying the contents. I washed it out with water and then put some water in it. I sealed it and tried the spicket. It worked perfectly fine. I'm not remotely sure if that was a fluke or what because I haven't used it again, yet. I don't drink 64 oz of beer everyday, so I guess I'll wait and see on the next round.
However, the quality strength of the growler is designed well. It is sturdy, solid, and easy to clean. I enjoyed using it and you can get up to five full beers into it, with a bit of a sixth one. My suggestion is if you are going to use it somewhere at an all day event, use a stronger beer that is 5.9% or higher. Otherwise you'd be better off bringing individual cans in a cooler. Just a thought for my money.
