An updated version of a 2010 Wii game that was itself a refurbished version of the classic Super NES title, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D lets 3DS users ride in mine carts, get shot out of cannons, and track down stolen bananas through more than 70 levels of side-scrolling action. As always, each level is filled with hidden items and puzzle pieces, but 3DS users get the bonuses of an unlockable ninth game world and the more forgiving difficulty of New Mode. Great for DK fans, graphics are good
Bought for the kids ended up having it myself. Hooked on gameplay during breaks at work & makes a great substitute if you don’t want to read a book before bed every night. The controls are a bit difficult to master (gaming has come far since game boy days) but once you’ve got the hang of it the game gets addictive. Another Wii game shrunk down for the 3DS
But this has lost none of its charm and looks almost as good. The controls are definitely better. This is a hard game. This is for people who grew up on the original SNES games and will test your patience and skill. You better get used to your 3DS being covered in sweat too because every movement needs to be carefully played out or you'll tumble to your death again.
