Older, but still going
I was a bit concerned about buying a used VCR, but did not want to pay the very high price for a brand new one. We wanted one to play some of the Christmas classics, which we only have on VHS right now, for our grandson who will be 18 months old this Christmas. Although you can tell the unit has a bit of age on it, it is in very good condition. The outside is clean and has very few minor blemishes, but nothing bad. All the functions work fine, and playback is nice and bright and clear. It did not come with a remote, but the remote from my old Sony unit that had recently locked up and died works just fine. Best VCR there is!
I had finally found this replacement VCR because the one that I currently had was a bad video head that had reached the end of life. So, I ordered this and tested it and it works like a charm! I recycle the old one now that I am happy with this replacement VCR. DOES NOT REWIND. It also eats up tapes when you try to rewind while playing the tape. It's no good if you cannot rewind a tape to view it. Looks like I got robbed again on ebay as usual. I also tried this with 6 different tapes and you can hear it crunching the tape inside the unit. HORRIBLE. I recommend not buying anything electronic from this seller. Does not work
Even though thr product description says that the product works, I was kot able to turn it on. Since it’s a US model, I bought a special voltage converter and connected the device through it. I’m going to take it to the repair shop. Hopefully it can be fixed.Bestätigter Kauf: Ja
