For the first time, Mario and his friends step into the RPG genre with "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars." This Super Nintendo game was a collaboration between developers Square and Nintendo. In this role-playing game, Mario faces off against a new opponent: Smithy. Smithy has come to the Mushroom Kingdom and has stolen the seven legendary pieces of the Star Road. It's up to Mario and his friends to stop Smithy and rebuild Star Road. You'll encounter familiar faces in your quest, such as Luigi, Peach, and Bowser. The game also introduces new characters, such as Mallow and Geno. This Nintendo game will take the average player around 30 hours to finish. However, if you are looking to experience the full amount of content, it can take up to 50 hours. In this SNES game, Super Mario and his friends will travel to new parts of the Mushroom Kingdom. These never-before-seen towns offer new quests and clues as to the whereabouts of the Star Road pieces. While in town, you can talk to the locals, search for hidden coins, and buy items. In "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars," Mario and his friends equip items to gain power, similar to other RPGs. He can also purchase and buy defensive equipment, making him more resilient in battle. When your adventure takes you to a location where enemies are present, this SNES game displays them on the screen. This feature gives you the ability to avoid battles if you aren't looking for a fight. It also lets you jump on the heads of your enemies to initiate a fight, giving you an advantage. The combat is a turn-based battle system. You'll choose an action for Mario and his friends and then watch as it plays out on the screen. During combat, you can also press buttons during an attack to amplify the damage. For example, pressing a button right before Mario lands on an enemy's head makes that attack do more damage. Each character has an array of unique attacks as well. For example, while Mario jumps, Geno shoots laser beams from his hands. You'll need this extra boost of power as "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars" has an array of foes. You'll fight everything from goombas to koopa troopas in this epic Nintendo adventure. A series of bosses also stand in your path. These bosses are huge, often taking up the entire screen."Super Mario RPG" features a graphical style not often seen in other SNES games. This Nintendo game uses 3D-rendered graphics to portray both Mario and his cast. These graphics give the game an almost life-like look. The music for "Super Mario RPG" was composed by Yoko Shimomura. The music features remixes of classic Mario songs along with tracks from "Final Fantasy IV." Nintendo "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars" combines a humorous story with familiar Mario characters, a fun battle system, and excellent plot. It also is a good introduction to the world of role-playing games. This Nintendo game is a fantastic game for players of all ages.

    This was great. I was so happy to find a Thermaphore with the original control. The seller answered my questions promptly. The heating pad arrived on time, packed very carefully. It looked just like the photo. I plugged it in & it works. It cost about 50% less than the manufacturer's sale price. My parents had theirs for 30 yrs & it still works! Recent reviews on Thermaphore's website say newer models don't even last half as long. I'm so happy I found a pristine, well- priced older model!

    The best kept secrete Mario game ever.

    This is a FANTASTIC story driven game with all the best RPG elements to boot. As a lesser known title (because it was released right after the Nintendo 64 came out) it boasts hours of fun and laughter for all ages as well as a compelling story line and skill based combat. That's right, how you may ask is skill involve, timed hits!. Right now you are asking yourself (what's a timed hit) in the game combat screen timed hits are enacted when you press the A button at the correct moment to follow up your initial attack with a follow up attack to deal more damage. This not only applies to attacks but skills as well, each having their own timing which you can learn to either increase damage or increase effects such as healing, defense boosts as well as offensive buffs.     A Must Have For SNES Gamers

    One of the best SNES games IMO. For those who are rpg newbies or love Mario games this is for you! If you've ever played any of the Paper Mario series this has the same mechanics, the grandfather to them. Price is a bit high considering it is easy to find. However if you have a SNES you should own a copy as well.

    Great game

    I played the game and it was in great condition. It was my favorite game when I first played it and I'm glad that I have it back. Put the game in the SNES, turned it on and it went right to the preview and unlike my previous one, it didn't erase my save game.

    Best game ever

    Its totally old fashioned the graphics aren't great but it is the exact game and experience I wanted!! Absolutely would recommend to people that have a Super Nintendo
