Product Information

The first season of this police procedural drama follows the men and women of the Chicago Police Department, led by Sgt. Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), who was first introduced in Season 1 of sister series "Chicago Fire." Serving with him are: Det. Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda); patrol officer Kevin Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins); Det. Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush); Det. Sheldon Jin (Archie Kao); Det. Alvin Olinksy (Elias Koteas); Det. Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer); and patrol officer Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati). As the team go after a Colombian drug cartel that's linked to a series of brutal slayings, rookie officer Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) joins the team fresh from the police academy. The season includes a crossover episode with "Chicago Fire."

Even Better Than The Show It Spun-Off From!
CHICAGO P.D. spun-off from CHICAGO FIRE, but CHICAGO P.D. is leaner and meaner, and that's a good thing! Season Two's "What Would You Do?" is the best single action episode that I have ever seen on any show. Period. Officer Burgess follows up on a hunch, and the situation escalates, getting worse. The ending, when it comes, does not break the tension. The lump remains in your throat. You still need to catch your breath. Whew. Because you've just been played like a piano. Yes. D***. Love this show. Seeing how the characters were developed from Season One is bracing, as well: all killer, no filler. Buy this DVD: you will not be disappointed.

Best new detective show on TV. Jason Beghe is one of the best actors on TV. I hope it runs longer that Law & Order. I love the little comedy that is in the drama which is equivalent to Sopranos, Excellent writers,, David Wolfe and tremendously talented cast. Every story is unique.

Chicago's Finest
Great show! The characters are deep and engaging. At times they make you question how far you would go to bring justice. They are not perfect people, each of them have their flaws which only makes them more relatable. I higky reccomend this show to anyone who is a fan of Cop Dramas.
