Excellent Live Action Disney Film
"20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" is an excellent live-action Disney film from the 1950s. The cast consists of the major actors from that era, including Kirk Douglas, James Mason, Peter Lorre, and Paul Lukas. The only cliche the film lacks is a female in distress among all this testosterone - but the seal is a passable stand-in. Throughout the story the two leads, Douglas and Mason, are constantly at one another's throats - Mason being the long-suffering father figure and Douglas the mischeveous man/boy who constantly attempts to provoke him. The special effects are, for the period, first rate. The underwater scenes worth the price of admission, given the medium that was rarely ventured into at the time. Given the age of the film, the price for the Blu-Ray is somewhat high, but noit unreasonable.

Certainly brilliant classic I really enjoyed the film thanks
I love this film great old classics never make them as great as original ,not seen this for long time great actors them days brilliant blue-ray qualitys crisp .

Truly a DISNEY CLASSIC.
My movie arrived beautifully packaged without damage, everyone should follow your lead. The film is a beautiful transfer to blu ray and looks as though it was filmed yesterday. Disney went all out with this film, and I enjoyed every minute of the film. What a classic, and if you have a chance to grab a very good copy, buy it before they're all gone.

An Excellent Transfer To Blu Ray Of The Classic 'Steampunk Submarine' Motion Picture
The Blu-Ray release is a very good transfer of an excellent adventure movie. I was a very small boy when this movie came out and Disney's design of the Nautilus still strikes me as the ultimate 'steampunk' design (decades before the term was coined). From what I've read at least one reason it has taken so long for this movie to be put out in Blu Ray is that Disney was trying to produce an 'updated' version - my response to that is 'phooey!' .... (newer releases of classic movies are almost never as good as the original)

Great movie….just wished it wasn’t cropped
Great classic movie, only disappointment is that this blu-ray version is cropped for wide screen so the top and bottom of picture is cut off, has the black bars 👎🏻

Great movie.
Great movie I wanted this for years on Blu-Ray, the movie came as described. until I joined eBay I was not sure if I would find a Blu-ray Version of this movie.

Great transfer, but keep your DVD for the extras!
Well the title says it all -- not one of the string of wonderful extras that you get on the special DVD version is here. But then again that gives an the more room for a stunning picture transfer. Amazing DTS sounds (2.0, bit still great). This will do nicely until a mega 4K edition complete with extras is released by Disney.

Exceptional Transfer of an old movie classic!!!
The transfer to digital (BluRay) was exceptional and served the movie's spectacular scenes perfectly. Even the sound, which was a Western Electric optical track was tweaked to really serve the dialog. Five stars!!!!

Vintage classic.
Nice to see this film complete and fully restored with good sound and vision. Some extra features would have been nice but otherwise a classic movie with colours and contrast that only blue ray can truly reveal.

Great movie classic in Blu-ray!
I'm really glad I now have this great movie classic in Blu-ray. The picture quality is excellent. It is a great improvement over the DVD. Well worth owning.
