not a sound bar!
This is an older Sony home theater system. And the old adage that they don't make 'em like they used to holds true here. I bought this to replace a faulty newer model. Turns out the sound from this is even bigger and better. I immediately noticed the difference in weight. This older model is heavier than my newer, faulty one. The extra weight was in the receiver and in the subwoofer. I guess a heavier subwoofer made for the better sound. Overall this is a good product that delivers great sound. And if you can find this for under $200, it's a good value. Plus the fact that this is a more traditional home theater system that uses five or six speakers instead of a single soundbar makes this even more valuable. Manufacturers are moving away from the 5 to 6 speaker design.
