The packaging was so well padded I think a truck could have driven over the combination of newspaper wrapping, bubble wrap, more newspaper, packing tape and caused no damage. The shipping was sooner than I expected. The pen even came in the original box with the original (perhaps 50+ years old) instruction sheet. This is exactly what I was looking for in a condition even better than the photograph in the listing showed.
