Highly entertaining sequel
Picture quality is an improvement over standard dvd for sure. Aside from the additional robot sentry scenes personally I prefer the original cut. Bill Paxton is hilarious in this movie but the extra scenes of him in the dropship talking to Ripley were beyond cringe, why James Cameron wanted that back in the movie who knows.

"Aliens" has always been one of my top five favorite movies, I watch on regular DVD a couple of times a year, but the blue-ray's picture is absolutely amazing: there are details I've never seen before, it's like watching an entirely new and different movie from the regular DVD. Anyone considering buying the "blu-ray" I highly recommend they do. The only drawback it's not "widescreen," but the picture quality alone is well-worth purchasing the blu-ray.

One of the best action movies!
I loved the movie. Now I have it on DVD. I liked watching the director's cut.
