Lightweight with great features
Shipping on this camera was extremely fast two days out of Cali to NC. Price used was within budget. WiFi adapter works and can be used as backup remote. From the 10 MP to 24.1 MP was a big upgrade for me and the difference is easy to see. Video mode is stunning with custom settings. Menu is easy to navigate along with the ? button you can learn additional features. I use manual settings most of the time to get the photo I need. Best way to upgrade!
The camera is Great! It replaces a Nikon D3000 and my old lens' make this a low cost upgrade that improves my photos with the much higher resolution sensor and adds video capability and sound recording. I can now use the display to preview photos as well as video. The accessories that I liked were the memory card, charger and the camera bag. the bag was perfect for the old camera body with one lens and charger. Better check the items after they arrive!
Overall it was an "alright" experience. Didn't receive the bag as advertised in the picture. Received a very small bag that looks NOTHING like the bag I expected. I guess that is how they get back what they are losing in a bundle deal but it is deceitful and dishonest! Tried contacting the owner but received no response. That tells me they were aware of what they did and probably have done the same thing to others! Will never buy from again. The other pieces I received, the majority was cheap stuff. The tripod would blow over in a slight wind and I would have been ashamed to send to anybody in a bundle. Will never do the bundle thing again. Next time I will order what I need and just pick up the other things at a later date. Still gave the business a positive review but probably should not have. Features and ease of use make this great
Works great for timed shots using wireless remote and the programmable ones. Full use of manual settings, fits well in the hand, and once you learn the controls it's a joy to use. The flip out screen is beneficial for astrophotography, and the autofocus system is spot on for creative shooting when you don't want to do manual all the time. Used digital cameras are usually a great value.
I've never been impressed with the newest gadgets with their useless bells and whistles that I'd never use. Used cameras have always been a great value and I've been buying, using and reselling camera gear for fifty years. Roberts is the place I check first when I'm in the market for a camera. The D5200 is from an older platform. It's sensor is battle-proven and is an excellent value in any Nikon series digital camera. I bought the d5200 because I missed the raw and HDR I had with another camera. One I bought upgrade with did not have those features. I like Nikon. I own a few. Easy to read the back. I am not much for the manual but yes on books for each camera. With the manual as a backup. I take a lot of nature, wildlife photography. . And some are close up. And some are animals moving. A lot of camera
I purchased this camera for my daughter as an entry-level SLR and was totally impressed with the capabilities of the camera and very happy with the bundled deal. While not every piece of the bundle was super-high quality, overall it was a very good value. The photos are amazing! Ultra-sharp portraits & beautiful landscape shots are easily achieved. The night time color shots are incredible also.......city skylines at night look terrific! This turned out to be more camera than I expected....and how often does that happen?
