Great product, just use the enclosed software to format before using.
This external hard drive has enough capacity to hold my archives and video files. I have a Mac and found that I had to run the software provided to reformat the drive. I first tried using it as it came, and then used my Mac to format it but kept having problems. Very happy with this product!
I had been using a really old terabyte hard drive for my video editing, which started malfunctioning. So as a replacement I looked for quality hard drives that has a usb c connection, to work with my new MacBook, and has fast data transfer speeds. This hard drive has both and I am very happy with it!
