Product Information

Powerful beings throughout time have been awakened from their graves by a mysterious life force called Ore. Now they have been brought together to decide once and for all who shall rule the world! Take control of one of ten characters and prepare to battle the remaining fighters in your quest for power. Choose from the following ten combatants: Ahau Khan, an ancient high priest. Anubis, the Egyptian god of mummification. Cy-5, a cyborg from the year 2096. Kabuki Jo, a medieval samurai warrior wearing red and white facial paint. Maximus, a gladiator who hides behind an iron mask. Pagan, a sorceress skilled in the black arts. Tak, an idol from a civilization long forgotten. Voodoo, a tribal witch doctor. Vallah, a sultry Viking goddess. Warhead, a top soldier trained in nuclear weapons. WarGods is a translation of Midway's 1996 coin-op game, offering one block button, two punch and two kick buttons, as well as a special 3D button. The 3D button can be used to jump, walk or slide anywhere within the arena. Each character also has a damage meter that will gradually diminish as he or she receives blows; when the green bar turns to red, the character is in danger of suffering defeat. Before advancing to the next opponent, players must first win two fights against the current WarGod. After defeating the main fighters, players will then have to face two boss characters: Grox and Exor. Options include five difficulty levels, adjustable continues (up to a maximum of five), fatalities and customizable control settings. String together combos and use special attacks do wear down all who dare stand in your way!

War Gods
Ok so the thing about War Gods is it’s not an amazing game, but it can still be fun. It’s like an old 80’s horror movie. Does it hold up? Not really? Is it cheesy? You know it! But do you have a good time with friends, laughing at it’s silliness? Absolutely. It’s very affordable, and was clearly the testing grounds for what would eventually become Mortal Kombat 4. If you’re collecting fighters, or just don’t take games too seriously, this game won’t destroy your wallet, and you will laugh at the hilarious dialogue and characters.
