Montalbano by numbers
By the time these episodes appeared I think the format was running out of steam. Each episode has little going on and that little goes on for a long time, and the impression I get is that each was being spun out to quite unreasonable length. By contrast, earlier collections/episodes were snappy, pacy, witty and gripping. That cannot be said for these two episodes.

Brilliant, as always!
Two episodes is hardly a "collection"! However, the stories and acting are up to the usual superb standard of all the other Inspector Montalbano collections and are well worth the money. If you enjoy Inspector Montalbano I don't think you'll be disappointed with these stories.
