My Favorite Floyd in Multichannel.....................
The Rambling Story: Will never forget the first time I heard this album. My sophomore year at college, a friend said "You have to hear the new Pink Floyd album". At lunch we went over to his off campus apartment. He played it on a turntable connected to a monster sized Realistic Quadraphonic receiver with large Optimus speakers. We sat in the middle of all four speakers, with the volume turned up to lease-ending loud. Listened to it straight thru, then went back to class with our ears still ringing. I remember all this just like it was 45 years ago................................... The Review: PRO: ** Sounds great, a must buy at $35 - $40 CON: ** Comes in a goofy non-standard size package (digibook) which doesn't fit neatly in storage with other media. Why didn't they just put it in a standard cd jewel case like the DSOTM SACD! Seriously, what (expletive deleted) idiot made this genius decision? Solution - put the actual disc in a standard cd jewel case, and try not to lose the original packaging.

Best way to hear a classic!
If you haven't experienced multichannel SACD yet and you love music, now is a good time to jump in. You can pick up a good player cheap on the used market and the listening experience is better than DVD audio or Blu Ray because you don't need a monitor for the menu and each output has a separate RCA connection instead of needing to be decoded from a toslink optical connection. The definition is amazing and the 5.1 separation creates a totally new experience. Especially on this album the 5.1 version is a different mix which will sound fresh. Even if you think you know the album, if you haven't heard the 5.1 remix, you haven't heard everything! Wish You Were Here is one of the most remarkable Pink Floyd records I have ever owned and on the short list of the best classic rock albums of all time. If you love this music as much as I do, get your hands on this! You won't regret it!

The Perfect Record...is still perferct
A pleasant surprise from the typical SACD packaging...I liked it. This was my first SACD order and hope to start my own collection, even though these are hard to come by. Many thanks!

Music Lovers will appreciate multi-channel SACD & "Wish You Were Here" is a fine example
There are many excellent MultiChannel SACD's around which absolutely delight the aural senses. I confess to not being a huge Pink Floyd Fan. That being said. "Wish You Were Here" never sounded so good. This is clearly a superior recording & it makes you feel totally wrapted(pun intended) up in the whole multiChannel surround experience. A MUST have for any serious audiophile.

Exceeded my expectations
Very reasonable multichannel mix. No gimmicks, just enough separation to improve listening experience without paying too much attention to 3d sound. One of the best, if not the best albums I ever heard.

Sound warm, subtle realistic detail, as a chamber quartet, dynamics and energy of the rock own. In a few words a work of art!

Great Sonics ...
Great sonics and worth the xtra cash . This is the best sounding version of WYWH so far . It beats Sony's Mastersound Gold Cd by a long shot . Crank your audio system to an 11 to get the best effect . 😀

Work of Art
This was the Special Limited Edition set. Nicely packaged with little extras inside the cover. So far I only listened to the 5.1 track of the SACD and it sounds fabulous.

Great Audio
This is a great SACD for Pink Floyd fans. Welcome to the Machine is a standout track when listening to the 5.1 track. As it's now out of print it can be pricey.

Great sound!
Beautiful edition for a fun. But inner CD tray very stiff and not convenient .Better store disk in single bag to prevent scratches or other possible damages.
