a fun if camp movie
Very good and entertaining if kind of camp to todays taste. Pat Boone sings there are several romances woven into the plot and it is changed a bit from Germany to Scotland from the book which I loved. I saw the movie as a child.. I love underearth stories like c s lewis The Silver chair that show below ground worlds. This is corny but fun and episodic our heroes James Mason Arlene Dahl keep running into one problem after another dinosaurs, a giant man, ocean storm on an interior sea , Atlantis etc . Family movie of course. peggy hithertos

Wonderful Family movie Adventure
This is a great classical Jules Vern movie and its beautiful clarity despite the age of it is wonderful. Colors are so vivid in it. Just loved it.

Sometimes oldies really are the best!!
Love this show; love the actors; love the plot, adventure, and humor. Best of all it was great to find it. I enjoy the new one but it doesn't compare to the James Mason issue. Thank you for making it possible to find it and in such good condition and getting so quickly.

Fine acting, realistic special effects, a script full of drama, humor and a touch of romance
Journey To The Center Of The Earth is a wonderful movie based on the classic book of the same name. James Mason was at his best and a young Pat Boone added the music and charm for the younger set. The cast as a whole worked so well together, with special effects that were so finely executed that even today's remakes seem to lack that spark that make this movie THE Journey To The Center Of The Earth! A true classic!

Better than I remembered. I saw a newer ...
Better than I remembered. I saw a newer version of the movie and missed the songs and reptiles in the original. The special effects were still entertaining.

Enjoyable Blast from the Past
I first saw this movie in 1959. It was a great adventure for a 12 year old. Watching this again brings back memories, and, while some of the movie shows dated story lines, in all it is still entertaining to watch again.

Excellent movie
Great actors that descent to the depths of the world to find the center of it. The movie was filmed in the Carlsbad caverns in New Mexico. Amazing cast.

Buy it..love it. Great fun..and realistic
This was a family favourite from the 60's. Well done..great actors...how it should be done..wasnt a B movie for its genre
