Great singers and great desert backdrop
This is a film version of the original stage show. The sets are sparse but effective and the singing is first class. Having seen the original in the West End it can't quite live up to the "in your face" live performance but is an excellent second choice.

I love this first version better than the remakes. Herods song makes me laugh and the rendition of " I dont know how to love him" is haunting..
