Good educational manual
I purchased this book to have 1) an on-hand copy of the basics of canning, dehydrated, creating jellies and jams, etc. and 2) for recipes using various vegetables and fruits. For those reasons, I believe this book to be a good value. Do I recommend it? Yes Is the content compelling? A book about canning isn't generally compelling, but it does not put me to sleep. The particular book that I purchased is an older edition; for those who are new to canning, they would be wise to find a more current edition.

One of the best canning preserving books available!
I purchased this to replace the one I used to own! This is a very good book to have for canning and preserving food! This is one of the best reference books on this subject. Good recipes and details!

HOW TO PRESERVE FOOD
It is a large hard cover book with a lot of information concerning preserving food. I look forward to finish reading it. Written with clear directions.
