    It was a good experience with the seller. Only thing is I have a few minor complaints, the book had a slight rip at the back and a few folded/torn pages. Otherwise the item is as described and is in ok condition. For the value, you can't go wrong with 2 books for the price of one given that these are expensive individually. The packaging was good as it ensured that there would be no damage to the product during shipment. The shipping time was pretty good too.

    Concise. Good book to keep next to your bed.

    This is a book that you curl up with on long winter nights. I is light reading the magazine story all over again. Since I was 7 years old I have love Sherlock Holmes that is over 64 years ago. I know the ending to most of his stories but this book brings the excitement back as if I never read one of his stories. It will be one of the jewels of my collection

    Sherlock! You came back to me!!!!

    I don’t know how it happened, but somehow or other my original copy of this book disappeared. I loved it because the strand magazine illustrations just shouted the Victorian era. There were many book options if I just wanted Holmes stories, but those illustrations made all the difference for me. So after a quick search on eBay, I had my lost book again. Welcome back Sherlock and Watson! so nice to see you again! (Literally)

    The Game is Afoot!

    More than 100 years after original publication these stories still crackle with mystery and suspense. The period settings, well-drawn characters, and wonderful companion Paget drawings make the stories come to life through this book. Thank goodness Arthur Conan Doyle did not leave Holmes at the bottom of Reichenbach Falls!
