  • Worthwhile reading when you're in a creative funk.

A nice assortment of ideas, comments and engaging stories to motivate you in your quest for photographic greatness. Sometimes you need some inspiration; sometime a kick in the head, Sometimes, you just need to walk away. Lots of good advice on how to do all this.

  • A unique book for photographers

First and foremost, this is NOT a typical book for photographers. All the other books I have on photography are linear. This book is not. It can be read in any order you choose. Each chapter stands on its own. It is a mix of photographic philosophy and photographic challenges. The book is not organized by subject. The table of contents is alphabetical by photographer. If you want a specific subject, go to the index. This is a book to lift you out of a slump or just challenge yourself and your creativity. I got this book to help me out of a slump. I skimmed through it picking what I wanted start with. I will take the time to give it a more through reading. The first assignment/challenge/whatever you want to call them I completed was shoot a sheet of white bond paper on white ...

  • Not worth the money or time.

This book makes you think about your photography and it has several exercises for you to do. I just did not find it compelling and out of the ordinary. I feel the price should be about $6 for all the canned platitudes and stale advise.
