Synopsis
From the New York Times bestselling author of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy ; Our Kind of Traitor ; and The Night Manager , now a television series starring Tom Hiddleston. John le Carr 's new novel , A Legacy of Spies, is now available. As the fall of Saigon looms, master spy George Smiley must outmaneuver his Soviet counterpart on a battlefield that neither can afford to lose. The mole has been eliminated, but the damage wrought has brought the British Secret Service to its knees. Given the charge of the gravely compromised Circus, George Smiley embarks on a campaign to uncover what Moscow Centre most wants to hide. When the trail goes cold at a Hong Kong gold seam, Smiley dispatches Gerald Westerby to shake the money tree. A part-time operative with cover as a philandering journalist, Westerby insinuates himself into a war-torn world where allegiances--and lives--are bought and sold. Brilliantly plotted and morally complex, The Honourable Schoolboy is the second installment of John le Carr 's renowned Karla triology and a riveting portrayal of postcolonial espionage. With an introduction by the author., In the second part of John le Carré's Karla Trilogy, the battle of wits between spymaster George Smiley and his Russian adversary takes on an even more dangerous dimension. - h***l (84)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufI was really excited to get this collection! It's such a large series that buying it individually on my own would have been a real pain. So built in value right there. The seller took a little while but stayed within the promised shipping time frame. Shipping was quite reasonable considering it was a box with 22 books. The books themselves were in good condition, just as described. The seller was very good about communication. I would highly recommend this store and will be a return shopper!
- a***9 (160)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzte 6 MonateBestätigter KaufMain set has arrived safely and sound. Per our conversation, the single from a 3rd source has not yet arrived. Items are as described, good condition, clean. Very happy with communication and quality. As per third photo, do you by any chance have The Black Stallion's Shadow and The Black Stallion's Steeple-Chaser? If so, I would be interested in acquiring those from you, also.
- a***a (61)- Bewertung vom Käufer.Letzter MonatBestätigter KaufOrdered the entire Bosch series. Seller was missing one of the books upon order. They were very receptive and open with communication. They did ship it accordingly when they received it as promised. Upon delivery, I was missing a second book. Again, seller was great and quick to response and Sent me the missing book. I was able to obtain the complete order. Very happy. Would recommend. Would buy again.
