A power control module contains several smaller components, which are typically semiconductors called dies. The GE-Fanuc IC693PWR321 module consists of four semiconductors with six terminals on the block to provide a consistent, stable source of electric current to PCs and peripherals. This device can also be used as an RS-485 communication port interface for programmer or operator feedback during installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair sessions. The 90 - 30 Series IC693PWR321 modules not only supply both electrical and thermal contact points, but they're also insulated from shock. They feature current-limiting technology, which means the module is designed to shut down if there's a direct short anywhere on the input or output side. The four LED indicators will let you know if the unit is installed and running by variably displaying a green light for power on, OK, run, and battery. This is a versatile device with a range of applications when the conditions are right for adding surplus power for your growing IT requirements. When you install this module with a four-slot backplane, you'll expand the processing abilities of one computer system up to eight times without purchasing additional machines.
