timely subject matter
This story is very compelling as I still think about the right or wrong of the death penalty. Although there are many story lines, they are easy to follow and the premise makes sense. I dislike a book where there have to be "miracles" to make things come together and make the story work. Fabulous and incredibly suspenseful!
First time reading this series of Amos Decker! Couldn't put it down but didn't want to finish as it's one of those books. Can't wait to read all 5. You wish it was a "10 mile " story
Riveting story from the first page. If you enjoyed the movies Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile, ets., you will the drawn in immediately. The story takes so many right and left turns that you will be hanging on for dear life. Baldacci keeps you interested.
Baldacci has created another character,(Amos Decker) that keeps you guessing yet exciting due to vulnerability. All characters well developed yet you are not sure who is going to fall and who will stand. Great story, takes you back and is still up to date with feelings that should have changed by now but at times give hope. Even a tear at the end.
