Unfortunately I Have Been Both
This book was bought as a gift for a relative who is completing a new home in a desirable tourist location. Being retired on a smaller income that I would care for, I read it first. I knew I had been a hostage on a few occasions, but to my horror, I realized that on a couple of occasions I had briefly crossed the line into being a hostage-taker. Thankfully there has only been one incident where I had to order somebody out of my house, and this happened at 10 PM on a work night. A couple of others and I myself recognized the gentle nudges of when it was time to go and followed through. Read this book!
