Originality of story.
I most enjoyed that this film used actors that were, of course, much younger at its time. Also, that it was a very early directorship of Sean Penn. Also enjoyed the film's originality of story, at least to my viewing experience.

Great movie, and a surprise as well
This movie has David Morse and Vigo Mortgensen in it, so the acting is of course above average, and lo and behold, you ladies get a surprise of a FULL VIGO in it. My eyeballs nearly fell out of my head. After I recovered, had to rewind it and watch again, you know, just in case I hallucinated. My son, who told me about the movie, saw it on MTV, so that part was left out and he was embarassed that it was in the movie, but shhhh I was really glad........LOL
