Perfect fit for the Maytag Bravos MEDX700XW0
My Maytag Bravos stopped creating hot air recently. Everything else worked; the drum rotated, the lights worked, the mode selectors worked, it just stopped blowing hot air. I pulled the front lower panel off, and right there tucked into a sheet metal enclosure was the heating element. I used my digital meter to check the resistance of the coil, and my meter indicated the coil resistance was infinite (i.e. the coil wasn't continuous anymore). I pulled the coil out, and sure enough, there was a break in the wire. The steel backing plate that the coil is affixed to has a part number and "FSP" embossed on it. This unit matched that exactly both in description, and also the FSP branding. I installed this element and everything is working great! Hopefully good for another 11 years! Just FYI: My dryer part number is MEDX700XW0. I have a feeling this is a brand-specific unit (like made FOR Home Depot by Maytag), and there are probably a number of other models that all start with "MEDX700" in the part number. OEM instead of cheap knockoff
A year and a half ago I purchased a cheaper not original equipment replacement part. It did not last. This time I am going with the real thing. The original part lasted 18 years. Exact fit and easy to install
Great product and a great value. Part replaces original exactly, and the installation was quick & simple. After a brief youtube video I was able to do the replacement myself in under thirty minutes without moving the dryer. I just purchased my second element, the first lasted about two years. Perfect timing & just what I needed.
I ordered this heating element for my 2017 kenmore elite quietpak 4. My warranty went out of course just a couple months ago & my heating element went out in December. I ordered this product, had it over nighted & it arrived in perfect time, plus the heating element was exactly what we needed to get it going again. It was also a great price!! Saved me a to. Of money, hiring someone from sears was going to cost just about as much to fix it as it did to buy it. Exact fit
Our dryer is about ten years old and has worked flawlessly since new. All of a sudden it wouldn't produce any heat to dry the clothes. Not wanting to purchase a new dryer and nothing to loose my wife decided to try and fix it. After watching a couple of Youtube videos on this particular model she was ready to dive into it. Getting tools and a ohm meter from my tool box she had it apart in no time and told me a short time later that the heating element is bad. Sure enough the steel coil had burnt and separated. We purchased this replacement part and it fit perfectly. Very easy to install and now the dryer works as it did before. My dryer dries again, at a fraction of the cost!
We DIY'd our non heating Whirlpool Gold dryer and found this awesome, less expensive heating element on ebay. My husband was able to install it quickly and easily.
