Great Movie! I have the single version not the Two Disc-wide screen one!
What can we say?... Its Purple Rain! The story is great, Prince is handsome as ever, the girl is beautiful, the music will outlast time - simply fantastic! The story denotes every dysfunctional family in the world ... the movie is sad, happy, sexy, and excellent! A true powerful movie explosion that held Prince and life in the Purple Rain forever and hopefully still does (RIP) ; as he ended every concert with this song ... " Dearly Be-love-ed" "we are gathered" "a thing called life" "only want to see you in the purple rain" "never wanted to cause you any pain" ... these are not word for word lyrics but the thought and Care that went into this song makes it "LIFE" -- his life ... our life ... forever life ... So, see the movie and feel the purple rain ... you will want to re-watch this film over and over -- the music is great and the story is also, due to Prince and others, it is fantastic! Well worth the money! Prince lived at least 35 + years in his purple rain haze of talent and made millions with that talent! A true genius!

Awesome DVD set with "Purple Rain", Music Videos, and more!
Prince is no longer with us but "Purple Rain" allows us to continue to enjoy his talent and the wonderful music he left for us. This set also contains an extra DVD which has some of the best videos of Prince. Had wanted a copy of the video "When Doves Cry", and now I have it along with other great features to enjoy. Would recommend this set to anyone who ever enjoyed the talent of Prince, or his music!

There will NEVER be another Prince Rogers Nelson.
I'll be the first to admit that the acting in Purple Rain was not the best. Not even close lol. But the MUSIC....oh, the music. His music totally made up for the, sometime awful, acting. I will forever miss this Artist. Nobody could ever compare, in my opinion.

My Favorite Movie
I just love this DVD in so many ways. The music fits right in to the way Prince sang and danced while on stage. Since he died in April, 2016, this DVD is the next best thing to going to a Prince concert.

Great Movie
I remember watching this movie when it first came out in 1984. Now years later it's still an amazing movie. Plus, this box set gave us a peek behind the scenes. What a great way to honor a musical genius.

This movie is a classic!
This movie is a classic! Not only was Prince a gifted musician, he also was a great actor. I wish he would have made more movies.
