"Dallas - Season 8" is a television prime time soap opera series that has been compiled in a 5-disc set. The DVD run time is 1,421 minutes. The main characters in this season are played by Larry Hagman, Victoria Principal, Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, and Donna Reed. A wealthy family in Texas, the Ewings, run a cattle ranch, and are involved in the oil industry. "Dallas - Season 8" was shot completely in Texas. J.R. Ewing and Bobby Ewing, brothers in the soap opera, often disagree with each other. The arguing frustrates other family members, and causes dramatic tension. Jamie Ewing, a cousin, is added to the cast in Season 8 of this drama. The season does not come to an exact close. Instead, it leaves viewers in a cliffhanger situation to entice them to continue watching the series in the next season. Although "Dallas - Season 8" is a soap opera, there are murders, cheating spouses, a kidnapping, and medical emergencies that keep it packed full of action and drama. In spite of its sometimes adult subject matter, this 5-disc set is rated as suitable for family viewing.
