if you have coax runs throughout your house no longer being used MOCA is where its at!!!
I ran coax years ago throughout my house, it served me well. Now in 2024 we use fiber optic, stream tv over a modem and router. fiber and ethernet is where its at. I didn't really want to run ethernet to all my tv drops that already have coax. so i have read about moca some years ago and decided to take the plunge. I pay the internet service provider for 500/500 Mbps fiber. My house was built in 1932, I have wireless equipment but between many devices and the structure of the house, not so stable. Now with Moca, i am able to see at the other end of my house from where the modem and the router are, a stable 550/550 Mbps to my tv that i stream most of my content from. its only been 2 weeks but the streams are really stable. I plan on getting more of these to extend my connections through house and property to make a more stable network and rely less on wifi that is so unstable in my area because of structural issues, congestion from so much wifi around me.
