Does not fit a Whirlpool
I recommended it only because it was an adapter that may have fit a different fridge. However it did not fit the Whirlpool fridge that I needed it for. All the prongs for the wire with the fridge were female. This adapter had 3 female prongs and 1 male. It is really hard to tell from pictures provided of the adapters for sale to make an informed decision. I was able to crimp the female prongs to a point and eventually got them to slide into the female prongs on the fridge wire.
