MIDWAY COLLECTOR'S EDITION
I already had a DVD of this but loaned it to a friend who somehow never returned it. He must have enjoyed it as much as I do. if you can skip over the parts that were fabricated to give the story more of a human interest, the remainder is fairly close to the actual accounts. Some areas were shortened to keep the story within the DVD time frame,but it is still fairly close. ''MIDWAY'' 1975.
This original 48 year old movie, filmed in 1975 and released in theatres in 1976, is still a classic. The remake, filmed in 2018 and released in theatres in 2019, told a little more of the story. But the orignal will always be the best version. Great historical title

"Midway" says it all, if you are a WWII buff.
This is a great portrayal of one of the most important US victories in WWII, coming only six months after the attack on Pearl Harbor. This is the first time I have seen the battle depicted on film. Excellent and valid historical events of the Midway Battle centered on the Japanese attack on the American base at Midway Island.
The DVD was arrived promptly and without any flaws. One must put the subject matter into proper perspective. Midway was a continuation of the Battle of Pearl Harbor. Historians still question why the same radar technology that was so effective a year earlier to detect and target German aircraft during the Battle of Britain was ignored during the Japanese on Pearl Harbor. Excellent war pic
Excellent war pic about a make-or-break battle in WWII. Outstanding cast and performances. Midway at the right price
