After sending them pictures of the issue with a Leica lever-focus lens, they said they would review the design and will also have their description note that the case is appropriate for barrel-focus lenses. Finally, Artfoto offered me a full refund. This effectively resolved my problem. So, this is a vendor who takes customer service seriously and responds promptly.
