The Good Wife series is worth owning!
I love a good court room drama and this movie is just the ticket for me. The characters in the story engage well, each having their own distinct personalities. Plus the fact that the plot doesn't just stay in the court room but some of the character's have families and adding their home life makes the storyline richer.
Because I'm very visual, the views of the city buildings and the character's dress make this series more authentic. The scenes for the most part are bright, and warmly colorful not like the many other court room series that have been produced which have tended to be too dark.
I was sad when The Good Wife ended after episode 7. It was hard enough to see one of the main characters, Will Gardner, written out of the script but it was obvious that the story could go on without him as the producers replaced him with other equally weighty personalities. However, things did seem to fizzle at the end. It would have been nice to see happier endings to each of the main character's lives but that's just me. At the end Cary just faded out, Kalinda disappears, Peter is Peter, and Alicia's role ended more downcast than when the story first began. Miss Lockheart is the only character who was left with a promise to her life. The Firm, well the show was full of it's ups and downs.
I really became involved with some of the court room dramas. Every person will have their own opinion about the show but The Good Wife stimulated my interest enough to watch it and then buy the entire series to watch again and again.
