Director Mann (RAW DEAL) helms this gritty noir about Nora Goodrich, a scientist deeply dedicated to her research in anaesthetics. Her pioneering work prompts some jealous rage in one of her colleagues, who sabotages one of Nora's experiments, causing a horrible accident that results in the disfiguring of Nora's face.
