The cheek padding is pretty thick and can be partially removed to improve fit.
I like it well enough. At first I thought it was a bit fussy to get on but I watched a youtube video produced by Bell that explained it simply enough that I can fit the chinbar while wearing the helmet. The video also explains that you can remove some of the cheekbone padding if necessary to improve the fit. This was a welcome discovery because those pads were really snug on me and I wondered if that would be something that would make me choose not to use the chinbar in some situations.
However, even after removing some of the padding the chinbar is still pretty snug on my cheeks. Maybe that's how it's supposed to fit. I'm a pretty thin person and wouldn't ever think of myself as having a wider face so if you have a roundish face, I would definitely keep that in mind if you're considering this chinbar.
