OEM quality sweep hose
After my sweep hose became twisted and my pulling on it, it snapped. I had been a cheap SOB, and purchased a "generic" brand of hose. Buying the OEM hose was well worth it. It is so much more supple and flexible! Save yourself the headache, spend a few more $$$. You will thank me later.

Replacement hose for Polaris--hard
This 10-foot hose is used for the main sections of the Polaris feed hose. Follow the instructions in the manual when replacing hoses, and note that the D-50 soft hose is used next to the Polaris itself. There should be a 30-inch piece of the soft hose between the Polaris and the backup, and the total amount of soft hose should be no longer than the depth of the pool. I found that out first-hand when I went ahead and used the entire 10-foot section of soft hose, which resulted in the hose tangling. I went back and removed the excess soft hose and replaced it with a piece of the old hard hose and now it does not tangle.This 10-foot hose is used for the main sections of the Polaris feed hose. I haven't been able to get the hose to "relax" from the coils that formed while it was stored in the original packaging. While the pool sweep is running, the hose forms on big pretzel. I've tried running hot water through it to soften the hose, then allowing it to cool while laying straight on the pool deck. It still reverts to its "memory coils. I kinda wish the I hadn't replaced the old one.I haven't been able to get the hose to "relax" from the coils that formed while it was stored in the original packaging. Quality OEM Hose
I see several reviews stating they have problems that the hose stays in its original shipped coiled shape. I lay mine out straight in the sun with a brick on each end and by the end of the day it will stay straight. I do this when new and every year in the spring before starting up the pool. Works very good. After about 3 years the hose starts to lose its’ flexibility and I replace it. The Polaris OEM hose is about same price as aftermarket hoses on the internet so I stick with Polaris.I see several reviews stating they have problems that the hose stays in its original shipped coiled shape. Packaging
The way it was repackage for shipment was not good. Cannot use the hose with my Polaris. When back to old hose works much better.
