Vegas Games Entertainment Pack for Windows 95 is a collection of traditional gambling games modeled after those found in Las Vegas casinos. Each of the games is controlled via point-and-click interface with a limited number of keyboard shortcut controls available. Up to four players can participate, computer or human, depending on the game. Included in the compilation are Craps, Video Poker, Blackjack, Roulette, Slots and Keno. In a nutshell, Blackjack is a card game of point counting with the object to be the player closest to 21 when play for each hand ends. Gameplay in Roulette centers on a spinning wheel divided into 38 equally sized, alternately red and black compartments, on which a ball is dropped, eventually coming to a stop on one of the spaces. You can place bets on whether the ball will come to rest on red or black spaces, odd or even numbers, rows or columns and combinations thereof, including high and low numbers -- the higher the odds, the higher the payoff. Video Poker and Slots are played against machines, not opponents, while Keno is a game of chance where you select 15 numbers out of a possible 80. After bets are placed, 20 numbers are randomly chosen and payoffs are determined based on how many matching numbers you picked. Craps is a game of dice with varying degrees of payoffs depending on the results of a continuing series of dice rolls. Each of the games contains a help file that explains "how to play" as well as multiple customization settings including six chip denominations ($1, $5, $25, $100, $500 and $1000), sound and music toggles and high score tracking.
