excellent product
This vintage can opener is brand new (never opened)and is made in USA!!! .... the ones made today are not the quality and won't last (made in china) like this.(my last one purchased in 1970 lasted till this month)...so, made to last unlike most products from China!!!

I've used this same type swing-a-way can...
I've used this same type swing-a-way can opener since 1973. It's only the third one I've bought since then and my first two are still operational but reserved for camping and pet food cans respectively. I highly recommend this product.

I love this brand of opener
This is “old school” designed opener. It has a big comfortable handle and heavy duty all metal construction. These were very popular in the mid to late 60’s. I’m glad to see they are still available!

Easy to Use and Does a Great Job
It's lightweight and goes easy on my hands. It cuts cleanly and smoothly and is easy to take care of. The price is reasonable and I was happy to know that it comes in more than one color. (I have both a red one and a white one now.)

Best non-electric can opener and worth the cost. Lasts over 10 years.
I bought this to replace my Swing-a-way can opener that finally got too rusty and dull after about 15 years. This is the brand my Mom always had in her kitchen. It's the best!

This WORKS!
My son works for Meals On Wheels. The commercial can opener went foomp some time ago. The home style openers they've been sending him do not work on size 10 cans. He's been using an old church key and a pair of pliers. He LOVES this opener! Said the can just popped open. Says it's super easy to use. He'd give it 10+ stars.

A dream to operate
This is a dream to operate for an aging woman. And this is the real thing. Other look-a-likes DO NOT compare; I've tired them! My sister loaned me hers and it worked so well I wanted one for myself. I'm so glad I found one! Even though electric can openers are fast and convenient this manual is powerful, easy and smooth to operate. And when the power goes out I'm not out of business.

Pleasure to use.
Finally. A can opener I like. In fact, opening a 15 oz can of crushed tomatoes while the teenage boy was in the kitchen, I actually commented after opening the can, "Feels so good, sort of makes you look around quick to see what else needs opening. A little depressing not to get to use it for more than one can."

solid and strong, looks like it will last for years.
The construction is pretty solid compare to others I have seen, the swivel is steel and has a good weight, feels comfortable to handle, cut very smoothly, and the cogs are not flimsy like the cheaper ones. it also shines a good look.

Better than the ergonomically correct openers.
The newer styled openers that don't leave sharp edges do NOT open all cans. This opener opens every single can that I have had. It's easy to use and is a breeze to rinse after use. The price is very reasonable and it is heavy duty. Love it!
