    I purchased 3 of these guys to throw in old game consoles and run them for a little while now and am content to say they are every bit as new as they say they are, and otherwise function great. Bonus points with this exact model being the older discontinued CMR model, vs the current offering from WD coming with the inferior SMR technology to save the corporation a dollar. Overall great purchase, if you're looking for a solid little CMR drive, these are it.

    Great little drive

    Bought this for a Dell M6700 as the primary drive to replace a 5400RPM drive. I have only used WD drives for the pass 10 or so years. They have yet to let me down. It is 9.5mm high in case anyone needs to know. Small, fast and quiet. Hopefully it will last as long as my other drives. Very nice product and the price was great. SSD's are still too expensive for my tastes.

    Western Digital Black HD

    Since it is a Western Digital product, I know that it would work fine and it did. I only purchase WD drives for my computers. They are dependable and last a very long time. I have been using them for over 20 years.

    Economical replacement drive for laptop

    Although it is a bit thicker than the original hard disk, I was able to fit it in my laptop. The 5 year warranty is also a plus point in it's favor and worth the price difference compared to the other 1TB disks at the $50 price range.
