    Excellent tiller

    There are many reviews about how nice this tiller is and they are all true. The Honda engine is exceptionally quiet and easy starting. It only takes a couple of pulls when it's cold and always just one pull when it's warm, and the pulls are quite effortless. It has chewed through heavy clay soil with small to medium sized rocks with little effort. It just kicks the rocks back toward you and I just pick them up and throw them in a pile. It does bounce a bit in hard dirt but just let it do it's thing and it will settle in and chew it right up. One tip I have for you. I made a strap with a quick connector and attached it to the carrying handle. I connect the strap to a web belt I wear around my waist. It takes all the stress off your arms and you can till all day without getting ...

    Reconditioned 7940

    The unit needed to be assembled. Easy enough, the directions are clear to understand. I really like the handle style, a lot more comfortable in rougher soil conditions. The engine is easy to start but does not seem to have the rpms as the 2 stroke motor had to break up soil. If you have tough soil or any kind of tallish weeds or grass, use another tiller before using the Mantis because this one will plug up really fast or bounce around crazily. (The newer style of handle grips really help in the control of this unit) The lower rpm overall, which it is controllable as well, does not shred worms or vegetation as bad as the 2 stroke unit would do. This unit makes for a good "maintainer" tiller in narrow spots.

    Mantis 4-cycle engine tiller

    Mantis is a great brand and with a Honda engine it is even better! Started right up, tears up the soil and leaves it easy to work. I have a large garden in my backyard and could not get all the work done with out this little workhorse! Great product and shipped quickly. Thanks!

    Really like the four cycle engine.

    The reconditioned Mantis that I received is like new in all respects. Really easy to use in my raised beds and very effective. The 4 cycle engine starts with one pull an NO choke. Unbelievable.

    Easy to start and quiet

    I love this little machine. Easy to assemble. Starts with ease and idles quietly. Has no issues digging into hard packed ground. Tills the best soil breaking everything up. Flip the blades and ur cultivating without digging too deep. I love this little machine. Bought the extra warranty and hope it well outlast that.
