Numark PT-01 Scratch Cuts Into the Very Fabric of Exploitational Glour
Been using as part of my live set for years. It's great. Battery op too, so I can move around the stage with it balanced on the finger tips of one hand while scratching with the other. A turntable like this provides a more direct access to the interstitial grains that can be drawn out within a context of performance immediacy. The avatars of fear, anxiety, disillusion and despair swoop into those cracks in daily life and occupy those interstices and it takes a tool like the PT-01 to gouge them, dislodge and disperse them into motifs that can stiff the air in magically mercurial ways.

Great bit of kit!
The PT01 is so much fun. Its completely transported me back to my youth. I'm enjoying relearning how to scratch all over again.
