It is thinner, smaller, has plastic zippers, and the interior pockets are poorly placed. They have obviously started taking shortcuts to maintain the low cost. That said, its still a decent jacket. I ordered a medium and the length is good, but the fit is tighter around the arms and shoulders than the previous version.
