I did cut the hose in half right before that crease It pumped fine with it full length but did much better half length. For those who care if you leave the hose end down below by the ground and turn off pump, it will continue to siphon itself rather quickly actually. About the same flow as hose up and motor on. This thing is a game changer for me. No more pumpingout drums of Rainwater for plants. 👊 💪🏼 hope it lasts
