    Not As Good As the Original Tapes for the Same Years

    Had video tapes of the best of Johnny Carson for the same years. BUT threw out my VCR and also the tapes. Always wanted to replace the tapes because they were so funny so I bought this DVD box set. And the DVDs are NOT the same as the tapes I had. Some of the skits are the same but a lot were missing that I used to watch on the tapes. Never even watched the last DVD when he visits his home town cause just wanted to see all the funny skits that I remember from the tapes I used to watch. Also thought the skits on these DVDs were cut shorter than the same ones on the tapes. So overall--just found this box set not worthwhile and most definitely not as funny or as entertaining as my original tapes.. And would much prefer to spend more money to buy a DVD box set that is exactly like the ...

    Johnny Carson Strikes Again with Funny Stuff

    I do not enjoy ALL of his guests, but most of them are funny and entertaining - silly even. Just wanted to laugh a little more and this helps to do just that. He will never be replaced and it's kind of sad to know that he and so many of his guests are now gone. BUT.... these videos are still good for a laugh. For older people, I think this would be a good set of videos to watch. Thanks for the laughs Johnny!

    Fabulous Collection!

    This is a wonderful collection of 30 years of Johnny Carson's era on the Tonight! show. It's a great sampling of the wide assortment of guests and special features with Johnny playing numerous characters over the years. The last two shows are included in their entirety, which is really nice. Any fan of Carson's would love to have this DVDset.

    Great fun! Well worth the price.

    Just one minor issue: - one of the DVD's needed cleaning. With that done, all 3 DVD's were hilarious with top notch excerpts from the various years, totally enjoyable fun, and the pictures were pretty clear and sharp, especially for the older program scenes. :
