    Very EFFECTIVE !!!

    Even with using the guide for screw deepness after inspection I thought they needed to go deeper to assure that the break point was below the sub-floor's surface. I was using on Berber carpet over a thick pad and this might be why the screws seemed shallow. I just 'eyeball' adjusted them deeper after removing the guide (don't overdo this)- a break above the sub-floor's surface could be catastrophic! Also to break the screws, which went flawlessly, I decided to use my own pliers rather than chance any damage to the guide. Other than that I wiped out several decade old squeaks quickly without any problems. Truly amazing how well they work.

    Instructions clear and helpful, includes the necessary parts for locating subfloor joists, ten screws enough to significantly reduce loud squeeks in my master bedroom floor. One kit should cover the house. Need a tape measure, drill, and square or other 90 degree angle to measure off first joist you find and easily locate the next. The plastic screw snapper slot started to wear, metal kit would be better, but a wrench or vise grips work well too to snap the screws. minus one star for that.

    Get a high quality stud finder too...

    Good quality product but... The demos make use look easy but, it was not so easy for me to use as it was hard to find/locate the floor joist. Best solution for me was to pull up the carpet at an edge or corner to accomplish same.

    Works like I expected it

    I am by no means a handy man or anything but I was able to get rid of the noises my floor was making. But if you have a big area to fix I recommend a couple of these things. One pack only contains 50 screws and that was only able to cover a small area. For a large selection it might need more. I am an ocd kind of person and I purchased wood filler and wood polish to cover up the holes it would leave behind but I was so happy to see that I was unable to locate where the screws broke in. I didn't need to fill up the gaps at all... Except for my first 2 screws which I messed up while figuring out how to use this kit. Excellent product and I highly recommend it to any amature trying to fix a sqeek on their floors. Thank you ZH

    Simple to use

    I saw this product on a video on the internet while searching for ways to 'fix my squeeking floors'. I found it on Ebay at a great value. I am happy I did. It worked very well along my floor in the upstairs hall way and in a bedroom. Easy directions, easy to use, all you need is a drill. I only used it on carpeted areas. But am going to purchase additional screws to do a linoleum area, as the directions state it can also be used there. You cannot see where I entered the screws into the carpet. You cannot find them or feel them. Very happy with the way it worked. No more squeekee hall way or bedroom.
